- You must not receive other income that exceeds 75% of the RTP stipend for general living costs.
- You must not hold another Commonwealth scholarship covering tuition.
- You must demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, strong writing skills, and research motivation.
How Will You Be Selected?
Selection is merit-based and fiercely competitive. Candidates are scored across:
- Academic achievement & writing skills – 0–20 points
- Research project quality & alignment with university priorities – 0–15 points
- Motivation, experience & research environment suitability – 0–15 points.

What You Need to Apply?
There are no direct applications for the RTP Stipend. Here’s what to do:
- Find a Supervisor at CQUniversity aligned with your research interests.
- Discuss your interest in the RTP Scholarship with them.
- The School of Graduate Research will invite you to apply based on the supervisor’s recommendation.
- Submit your written statement and all supporting documents (incomplete applications will not be reviewed!).
Deadline: The last date to apply for the RTP Stipend Scholarship at CQUniversity is December 30, 2025.
