Clip-on earbuds are quickly becoming the latest trend in wireless audio, with more brands entering the category. Samsung is now joining that list with the launch of the Galaxy Buds On, its first clip-on wireless earbuds.
The open-ear design sits around the ear, allowing users to remain more aware of surrounding sounds while listening to music or taking calls.

Clip-On Design and Audio
Samsung says it studied different ear shapes when developing the earbuds and adjusted the positioning of the speakers, batteries, and flexible band to distribute pressure more evenly.
Touch controls on the rear of the earbuds let users control music playback and calls without using their phones.
Audio is handled by TwinBoost speakers, which Samsung says improve low-frequency performance. The earbuds also feature automatic volume adjustment that changes playback according to surrounding noise.
An Audio Leakage Reduction system is included to reduce the amount of sound escaping from the open-ear design.
The Galaxy Buds On use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform alongside a Class-D amplifier.
Calls and AI Features
For calls, each earbud uses three microphones alongside a bone-conduction-based Voice Pickup Sensor.
Samsung also uses machine learning to separate the wearer’s voice from surrounding noise.
Galaxy AI integration provides access to Gemini Live through voice commands.
Users can also create voice memos by holding down the controls and later search those recordings using Bixby.
The earbuds support head gestures for actions such as answering or ending calls, dismissing alarms, and checking notifications.
