Samsung Galaxy A18 — SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS
SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS has announced its latest entry-level Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08.
The Galaxy A08 is now available on Samsung’s website and Authorized Samsung Stores nationwide and is priced at P11,190 for the 4GB memory + 64GB storage variant and P13,090 for the 4GB+128GB model. It comes in Dark Blue, Silver, and Green.
Those who will purchase the phone via cash in-store until Nov. 30 can get a discount of up to P1,200.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A18 will be available in the Philippines by December. Its colors are Black, Silver, and Light Blue.
“With the launch of Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A08, we are making meaningful mobile experiences more accessible by focusing on what users value most — smooth performance, durability, and essential mobile AI experiences,” said Kristine Go, head of Mobile Experience for Samsung Electronics Philippines.
“The Galaxy A18 focuses on everyday essentials with well-rounded features, while the Galaxy A08 offers reliability with long-lasting battery life to help users stay connected, entertained and productive throughout the day.”
Both smartphones have artificial intelligence (AI) features, including enhanced Circle to Search, a new Find the Look feature that allows users to search for an entire outfit or identify music playing nearby, and multiple AI agents for seamless use between supported Galaxy native apps, Google apps, and selected third-party applications.
They also feature enhanced durability with IP64-rated protection against dust and water splashes, and are supported by up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The devices are equipped with Samsung Knox, including Knox Vault for hardware-based protection of sensitive information.
The Galaxy A18 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and Helio G99+ processor.
It is powered by an upgraded LPDDR5 memory for faster data transfer speeds, multitasking, and more efficient processing for AI-powered tasks.
“Equipped with RAM Plus, which uses available storage as virtual memory, the device is designed to keep apps running smoothly in the background and enable seamless switching between apps and tasks. RAM Plus can also be enabled for an extra boost during activities such as gaming, or switch off to preserve storage for photos and videos.”
The smartphone has a triple-camera system, made up of a 50-megapixel (MP) wide camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro camera.
It also features a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer back cover.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A08 has a large 6,000mAh battery. It also comes with a Helio G99+ processor and upgraded LPDDR5 memory.
The device features a 50MP autofocus main camera, 2MP depth camera, and 8MP front camera.
“Galaxy A18 comes with boosted performance, worry-free durability and core AI experiences. It is designed for users who want a smartphone that supports entertainment, productivity and everyday photography,” Samsung said. “Galaxy A08 is ideal for value-conscious users who prioritize smooth performance, long battery life and essential AI features at an accessible price.”
