What is the ODI Fellowship Scheme?
The ODI Fellowship Scheme is a two-year placement program that allows talented individuals to work as public sector civil servants in various ministries, central banks, regulatory bodies, and statistical offices. Fellows operate as local civil servants under the supervision of government-appointed managers, contributing their expertise to real-world economic and policy challenges.

Benefits and Compensation
ODI Fellows receive competitive compensation, inclusive of a housing allowance, structured as follows:
- Year 1: Approximately £32,600 net of tax
- Year 2: Approximately £34,600 net of tax

Who Can Apply?

1# Academic Qualifications
- A master’s degree or PhD in economics, statistics, or related fields.
- Specialized qualifications in agricultural economics, environmental economics, international economics, health economics, development economics, econometrics, or statistics are also considered.
- For those currently pursuing a postgraduate degree, the fellowship is conditional on successful completion before placement.
