About the Fellowship
The AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2025 is designed to support young advocates working on health equity issues, particularly in non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention and rare disease advocacy. The fellowship provides selected candidates with funding, learning opportunities, and a fully-funded scholarship to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany.

Who Can Apply?
AstraZeneca is looking for young leaders from around the world who are committed to health advocacy, particularly in:
- Non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention: Advocating for policies that promote healthy lifestyles, including tobacco and alcohol control, nutrition, physical activity, and air quality improvement.
- Rare disease advocacy: Supporting equitable healthcare access and policy changes for individuals living with rare diseases.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the YHP Impact Fellowship 2025, applicants must:
- Be aged 18-30 (applications from older candidates demonstrating significant impact may be considered).
- Be proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Be a national of any country.
- Be available to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 (2-7 November 2025) in Munich, Germany.
- Be a founder or leader of a registered non-profit organisation that:
- Has been operational for at least three years.
- Has an annual reported income between USD $10,000 – $1,000,000 (for the $10,000 grant) or USD $100,000 – $2,000,000 (for the $50,000 grant).
- Works within underserved communities.
- Can provide funding documentation in English to meet AstraZeneca’s grant-making requirements.
- Have access to the internet and a device for online learning sessions.
Project Requirements
Selected fellows must propose a 6-12 month project that:
- Prevents NCDs among young people by promoting equitable healthcare access and policies.
- Focuses on policy change benefiting youth health and rare disease communities.
- Is inclusive, non-discriminatory, and benefits marginalised youth.
- Demonstrates measurable impact through reports and analytics.
- Starts between October 2025 and April 2026 and ends by December 2026.
