- Be a citizen and permanent resident of Zambia, Zimbabwe, or Malawi.
- Hold an undergraduate degree, usually with a First Class/Distinction or at least an Upper Second Class.
- Apply for a taught Master’s degree at a Beit partner university in the UK or South Africa.
- Show a commitment to returning home after study.
- Meet specific requirements if applying in medical or veterinary fields (such as internships and in-country postings).
- Submit a new application – ongoing courses are not eligible.
- Note: MBA programmes are not supported by the Beit Trust.
Europe Master’s programs
Work experience, leadership potential, and a clear link between the chosen course and home country development are highly valued in the selection process.

Application Process
- Choose a course at a Beit Trust partner university.
- Apply to the university: https://beittrust.org.uk/beit-trust-scholarships/
- Complete the Beit Trust online application form and upload all required documents (transcripts, references, CV, etc.).
- Wait for shortlisting – candidates are contacted for interviews in their home country.
- Final results announced, usually a few months after interviews.
Every year, over 300 candidates apply, but only about 20 scholarships are awarded – making the program highly competitive.
