What’s the Opportunity?
The Conny Kristel Fellowship enables selected applicants to conduct vital Holocaust-related research at leading archives and institutions in countries such as Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Romania, the UK, and the Czech Republic. The program is named in honor of Conny Kristel, a historian who contributed significantly to the field of Holocaust research and EHRI’s development.

Fellows are encouraged to engage in research projects exploring all aspects of the Holocaust: its origins, impacts, aftermath, and the long-standing effects of antisemitism. Projects dealing with archival accessibility and management are also welcome.
This year’s fellowship is especially open to early-career researchers, including PhD students, although applicants at all career stages are encouraged to apply.
