About the Scholarship
Endorsed by Cologne’s Mayor Henriette Reker and supported by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Verein der Freunde und Förderer der TH Köln e.V.), the Gottfried Böhm Scholarship allows one selected scholar to contribute fresh architectural and urban development ideas to Cologne and its surroundings.
Over the course of one (01) year, the chosen candidate will:
- Work on visionary architecture and urban development projects related to Cologne.
- Receive professional mentorship from a renowned tutor throughout the residency.
- Be supported by an advisory committee composed of experts in the field.
- Present their work publicly in a final celebratory event at Cologne City Hall.
The residency concludes with a two (02) week public exhibition of the fellow’s work in the atrium of the Spanish Building.
Scholarship Benefits
The Gottfried Böhm Scholarship is fully funded and includes:
- Monthly stipend of €2,500 for the duration of 12 months.
