Scholarship Benefits
The DAAD-funded scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support for scholars pursuing doctoral studies at NUST in Windhoek, Namibia. Benefits include:
- Full Tuition Coverage (as specified in the letter of award)
- Study and Research Allowance: €920 per year
- Thesis Publishing Costs: €800 (one-time allowance)
- Monthly Stipend: €600 (In-Country) | €700 (In-Region)
- Travel Allowance (In-Region Only): Round-trip airfare
- Health Insurance (In-Region Only)
Additionally, scholars may apply for short-term research stays in Germany, participate in DAAD Summer Schools, and receive training through E-Trainings and Soft Skill Programs.
Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Second Class/Upper Division or equivalent)
- Have strong academic records and research motivation
- Be nationals or permanent residents of a Sub-Saharan African country
- Apply for PhD studies in their home country (In-Country) or another Sub-Saharan African country (In-Region)
- Be a university staff member, a prospective teaching/research recruit, or a public sector professional
- Fresh graduates and professionals from diverse backgrounds are welcome to apply!
