NordForsk has just opened its 2025 call for proposals to fund up to 15 Nordic Research Networks in natural science and related engineering fields. This initiative supports scientists and institutions across Nordic countries—Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden—who want to build strong, innovative research collaborations.

Who Can Apply?
- Networks must include researchers from Nordic countries
- Early-career researchers (2–7 years after PhD) are strongly encouraged to participate
- The network must be interdisciplinary, combining different natural science or engineering disciplines
- Researchers involved should not already be collaborating actively
- Each network must have a single project owner, but all participating researchers must contribute equally.
Application Dates to Remember
The deadline to submit your application for the Nordic Research Networks within natural science and engineering fields is August 14, 2025, by 13:00 (Oslo time / CEST). To support applicants, NordForsk will host two online Q&A sessions—one on June 23, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:50, and another on August 4, 2025 (exact time to be announced).

Additionally, researchers interested in finding collaborators are encouraged to sign up for the contact list by July 1, 2025, to be included in a shared database of potential partners.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit a detailed research proposal outlining:
- The network’s goals
- The potential interdisciplinary impact
- Planned activities (e.g., meetings, exchanges, training programs)
- Contributions from all disciplines involved
