You’ll join the highly motivated research group of Prof. Dr. David Benjamin Konrad, recently transitioned from LMU Munich to the University of Vienna. The PhD project focuses on:
- Design and synthesis of covalent chemical probes and drug candidates
- Development of reactive elements (“warheads” or “chemotypes”)
- Scaffold modifications for structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies
- Targeting antioxidant proteins to induce ferroptosis in metastatic non-small cell lung cancer
Bonus: Your journey begins with a 3-month training stint at LMU Munich before joining the Vienna-based lab full-time.
