Application Process and Required Materials

The application process begins with identifying and securing the support of an OISE faculty supervisor. Applicants are encouraged to explore faculty profiles across OISE’s four departments: Applied Psychology and Human Development; Curriculum, Teaching and Learning; Leadership, Higher, and Adult Education; and Social Justice Education. A strong alignment between the applicant’s research agenda and the supervisor’s expertise is essential.

Once a faculty member agrees in principle to support the nomination, applicants must prepare and submit a comprehensive application package to the prospective supervisor. This includes a detailed and current academic CV, a statement of research intent outlining the proposed fellowship research, and a structured training statement describing prior experiences, expected training outcomes, and the rationale for selecting OISE as the research environment. Applicants must also provide a short professional biography that may be used for official University communications if selected.
