The Punjab University has raised fees by up to 59 per cent, with the decision set to take effect from this month.

According to the PU administration, the increase was approved by the syndicate. The revised fee structure applies across several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

LLM fees have risen by Rs 7,825 to mark 59 per cent increase compared with last year. The fees for BSc, BCom, BBA and MBA programmes have been raised by 15 per cent.

D Pharmacy fees have increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 23,000, while LLB fees have risen by 28 per cent. Fees for medical diploma programmes have gone up by 16 per cent.

The overall rise in fees for major public universities in the country now stood at 28 per cent.
