Seoul National University has officially opened applications for the SNU Global Scholarship (GS) for Spring 2026, a competitive, fully funded institutional scholarship created to support outstanding international graduate students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees in South Korea.
This opportunity is exclusively for degree-seeking international students who are either newly admitted to or currently enrolled in a graduate program at Seoul National University, and it will support study beginning in Spring 2026, forming part of the 2026–2027 academic cycle.
What type of opportunity is this?
The SNU Global Scholarship is a university-funded graduate scholarship designed to reduce tuition and living costs for international students while strengthening Seoul National University’s global academic community. It is not open to exchange or non-degree students and applies only to full-time graduate programs offered by SNU.
What does the SNU Global Scholarship offer?
Selected applicants receive support under one of the following scholarship tracks, depending on departmental nomination and quota availability:

1# Global Scholarship 1 (GS 1)
This is the most comprehensive option, offering a full tuition waiver, a monthly living stipend of KRW 1,200,000, and one-time airfare support for arrival and departure, subject to enrollment and graduation conditions.

2# Global Scholarship 2 (GS 2)
This option provides a full tuition waiver for the Spring 2026 semester without a monthly stipend. In addition, eligible scholars may also receive Korean Language Training support, which covers tuition for one session of the Korean Language Special Program (Evening Class) during Spring 2026. This language training can be combined with either GS 1 or GS 2 if the request is clearly stated in the application.

Eligibility checks
You are generally eligible to apply if you:
- Are a non-Korean citizen admitted to or enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree program at Seoul National University
- Are a degree-seeking student (non-degree and exchange students are not eligible)

- Will not complete all degree requirements by March 2026
- Are able to submit your application through the mySNU online portal within the stated period.

The last date to submit application for this SNU Global Scholarship for Spring 2026 is December 21, 2025 (KST) through the mySNU system. Department-level screening is scheduled from December 22, 2025, to January 14, 2026, and the final scholarship results will be announced on January 21, 2026, with notifications sent only to selected applicants.
