October 05, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will restart its regular weekly flight service between Islamabad and Beijing from October 30, re-establishing a direct air connection between Pakistan and China’s capitals.
The Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route will operate every Friday, offering passengers a direct alternative to connecting flights and helping reduce travel time and transit-related inconvenience.
The service is expected to serve students, families, business travellers, tourists, and Pakistani and Chinese communities, while supporting greater people-to-people connectivity and strengthening commercial, tourism, educational, and cultural links between the two countries, according to APP.
PIA will also leverage its cooperation with Chinese airlines, including Air China and Shenzhen Airlines, to provide onward connections from Beijing to destinations across China.
Through these arrangements, passengers travelling through Beijing will have access to onward connectivity to more than 25 cities across China, expanding the reach of PIA’s Islamabad-Beijing service.
The national flag carrier said the restoration of the weekly service reflects continued demand for travel between Pakistan and China and its commitment to providing regular and reliable air connectivity between the two countries.
Tickets for the service will be available through PIA offices, authorised travel agents, and major online booking platforms.
