Why we like the Google Pixel 10a
Likable, durable hardware
The Pixel 10a is a phone that’s hard not to enjoy. It looks smart, and it’s more than that; it’s durable too. Like its (far) more expensive Pixel 10 and 11 siblings, it has an IP68 water and dust-resistance rating, so you know it has staying power. It’s capable too, thanks to its Google Tensor G4 chip and 8GB of RAM, endowing it with reliable speed for essential daily app use and tasks.
A bright screen and great cameras
The 6.3-inch Actua display of the Pixel 10a has a 2,424 x 1,080 resolution, 422ppi pixel density, and a variable 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. So it’s sharp, smooth, highly viewable, and brighter than the screen of the Pixel 9a. Speaking of bright, the Pixel 10a features a 13 MP front camera and 48 MP wide and 13 MP ultrawide rear lenses, which can deliver impressive shots and up to 4K recordings.

Two elements of the Pixel 10a speak to its longevity. A 30-hour battery is reported by Google, but it will be less with mixed or heavy use. Still, it’s widely reported to be better than the battery life of the Pixel 9a – another generational improvement. Third-party reports suggest you can likely expect 12 to 15 hours. What’s more certain is the ‘7 years of Pixel drops’, which means the Pixel 10a will get updates until 2033.
What to consider before you buy
The only point to consider here is that the price and phone should match your needs. We think the Pixel 10a is a solid midrange smartphone, and the deal price makes it an even better buy. If you’re not keen on spending big on a premium model, then it’s a solid alternative, especially if you’re upgrading from an older device (although it does improve on the 9a in some areas). The deal is for an unlocked Pixel 10a, so you won’t be tethered to a contract either.
